Notifications & Alerts Overview

Notifications keep you informed about important hail updates, including:

• Driver acceptance

• Driver arrival

• Hail status changes

• Important app messages

Notifications are strongly recommended for the best experience.

Enable Notifications in the VI Hail App

When prompted during setup, allow notifications for VI Hail.
If notifications are disabled, you may miss important ride updates.

iPhone (Apple iOS) Notification Settings

To enable notifications on iPhone:

1. Open Settings

2. Tap Notifications

3. Scroll and select VI Hail

4. Turn Allow Notifications ON

5. Enable:

   • Lock Screen

   • Notification Center

   • Banners

6. Make sure Sounds are enabled (recommended)

Android Notification Settings

To enable notifications on Android:

1. Open Settings

2. Tap Apps

3. Select VI Hail

4. Tap Notifications

5. Turn Allow Notifications ON

Make sure all important notification categories are enabled.

Do Not Disturb & Battery Settings

Notifications may be blocked if:

• Do Not Disturb is enabled

• Battery optimization is restricting the app

Recommended Checks

• Disable Do Not Disturb while using VI Hail

• Allow VI Hail to run in the background

• Exclude VI Hail from battery optimization (Android)

Common Issues

I didn’t get a driver notification
Check that notifications are enabled and Do Not Disturb is off.

I’m not receiving any alerts
Restart the app and confirm notification permissions in system settings.

Notifications stopped working
Log out of the app, log back in, and check notification settings again.

Best Practices

• Keep notifications enabled at all times

• Allow sounds for driver arrival alerts

• Check system settings after phone updates
