Location Services & Permissions

Required Permissions

For the VI Hail app to work properly, the following permissions must be enabled:

• Location Services (required)

• Notifications (recommended)

iPhone (Apple iOS) Location Settings

Enable Location Services

1. Open Settings

2. Tap Privacy & Security

3. Tap Location Services

4. Make sure Location Services is turned ON

Allow Location for VI Hail

1. Scroll down and select VI Hail

2. Tap Location

3. Select While Using the App

4. Turn Precise Location ON

Android Location Settings

Enable Location Services

1. Open Settings

2. Tap Location

3. Make sure Location is turned ON

Allow Location for VI Hail

1. Open Settings

2. Tap Apps

3. Select VI Hail

4. Tap Permissions

5. Tap Location

6. Select Allow only while using the app or Allow all the time

Notifications (Recommended)

Notifications help you receive:

• Driver acceptance alerts

• Ride status updates

• Important app messages

Enable Notifications

• iPhone:
  Settings → Notifications → VI Hail → Allow Notifications

• Android:
  Settings → Apps → VI Hail → Notifications → Allow

Common Issues

My location is wrong
Make sure Precise Location (iPhone) or high-accuracy location (Android) is enabled.

I don’t see any drivers
Check that location permission is allowed while using the app.

The app keeps asking for location
Permissions may be set to “Ask every time.” Change to “While using the app.”
