Tracking Your Driver During a Hail
Once a driver accepts your hail, the VI Hail app allows you to track the driver’s location in real time.
This helps you know when the driver is on the way and how close they are to arriving.
When Driver Tracking Starts
Driver tracking becomes available when:
A driver accepts your hail
At this point, the app will display:
The driver’s name
The driver’s vehicle details
The driver’s live location on the map
How Real-Time Tracking Works
The driver’s location updates automatically in the app as they travel toward you.
You can:
Watch the driver move on the map
See estimated arrival progress
Stay informed without contacting the driver
Location updates depend on GPS and network connectivity.
Driver En Route Status
When your hail shows Driver En Route, it means:
The driver is actively traveling to your location
Live tracking is active
Arrival time may change based on traffic or conditions
Common Issues With Tracking
The driver’s location is not moving
This may happen briefly due to GPS or network delays. Wait a moment and refresh the app.
The driver appears far away
The driver may be completing a nearby turn or navigating traffic.
The map stopped updating
Close and reopen the app to refresh the map.
Helpful Tips
Keep location services enabled
Maintain a stable internet connection
Use the map instead of repeatedly messaging the driver
Common Questions
Is the driver tracking accurate?
Tracking is generally accurate but may have minor delays due to GPS or signal strength.
Can I share the tracking with someone else?
Driver tracking is visible only within the VI Hail app.
What if the driver goes the wrong way?
Minor route changes are normal. If there’s a concern, contact the driver through the app.
