Why Drivers May Not Be Available

If you’re unable to find a driver after requesting a ride, it’s usually due to one of the reasons below. Driver availability can change quickly, so try the suggested fixes.


1. No Drivers Online in Your Area

Driver availability depends on:

  • Your current location

  • Time of day

  • Number of drivers currently online

Some areas may have fewer drivers, especially during off-peak hours.

What You Can Do

  • Wait a few minutes and try again

  • Move to a more populated or central area

  • Reopen the app and retry


2. Location Services Are Not Accurate

VI Hail uses your current location automatically.
If your location is incorrect, drivers may not see your request.

What You Can Do

  • Make sure Location Services are enabled

  • Allow location access while using the app

  • Enable Precise Location (iPhone)


3. Wallet Balance Is Too Low

Before matching you with a driver, VI Hail checks your wallet balance.

If your balance is too low, the request may not be sent to drivers.

What You Can Do

  • Tap Menu (☰)

  • Check your wallet balance under your profile

  • Add funds if needed, then retry


4. Destination Issues

Some destinations may be:

  • Outside service areas

  • Invalid or incomplete

What You Can Do

  • Re-enter your destination

  • Select from suggested locations

  • Try a nearby or more common destination


5. High Demand Periods

During busy times, drivers may already be on trips.

Examples:

  • Rush hours

  • Events

  • Bad weather

What You Can Do

  • Wait a few minutes and retry

  • Try again shortly after demand decreases

Does this mean the app is broken?
No. Driver availability can change minute to minute.

Will retrying help?
Yes. Many riders find drivers after waiting a short time.

No. Drivers accept rides automatically through the app.
