What Is the VI Hail Wallet?

The VI Hail wallet is a prepaid digital wallet used by hailers to pay for hails.

Before you can request a hail, your wallet must have enough funds to cover the estimated cost.

VI Hail is 100% cashless. All hails are paid from your wallet balance.

Where to See Your Wallet Balance

Your wallet balance is visible in two places:

1. Tap the menu icon (☰)

2. Your wallet balance appears under your profile picture and name

Wallet Tabs Explained

When you open the Wallet, you will see multiple sections that help you manage your funds.

Balance

• Displays your current available balance

• Shows how much you can use for hails

If your balance is too low, you will not be able to request a hail.

Funding

Used to add money to your wallet.

You can:

• Select a preset amount: $5, $10, $25, or $40

• Or enter a custom amount

To fund your wallet:

1. Select an amount

2. Tap Pay

3. You’ll be redirected to the secure Stripe payment portal

4. Complete the payment

Funds are usually added immediately after successful payment.

Transactions

The Transactions tab shows a detailed history of all wallet activity, including:

• Credits – funds added and rewards

• Debits – completed hails

This helps you track spending and review past payments.

Rewards

VI Hail offers a rewards program for hailers.

How Rewards Work

• Hailers earn 1 reward point for every $15 spent

• 1 reward point = $1

• Minimum redeemable amount is 10 points ($10)

Reward points are displayed in the Rewards section of the wallet.

Why the Wallet Is Required

The wallet is used to:

• Authorize hails before matching with drivers

• Ensure smooth payment after a hail is completed

• Prevent payment failures or disputes

Without sufficient wallet funds, a hail cannot be requested.

Common Questions

Why can’t I request a hail?
Your wallet balance may be too low to authorize the hail.

Where can I see my transaction history?
Open Wallet → Transactions to view all credits and debits.

How do rewards appear in my wallet?
Reward points are shown in the Rewards section and applied when eligible.
